Overview

This page has been created as a living document aimed at recording and presenting the experiences of the group on their journey to Cambodia. The aim is to provide day-to-day observations and impressions of the culture, community, and environment as we engage in the various activities and projects. The hope is that this website will provide everyone with a tool that they can use to reflect on their experiences and hold as a record of this fantastic and once-in-a-lifetime adventure.

 Siem Reap

Siem Reap is a city located in northwestern Cambodia. It is the capital city of Siem Reap Province and serves as a gateway to the famous archaeological site of Angkor. Siem Reap is renowned for its close proximity to the Angkor Wat temple complex, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most significant historical and cultural sites in Southeast Asia.

The countryside surrounding Siem Reap is characterized by picturesque landscapes of rice paddies, palm trees, and traditional villages. Traveling through these rural areas allows visitors to witness the daily lives of local communities, experience traditional farming practices, and interact with friendly locals.
